What to expect from a
coaching session
The structure of each session can vary and every coach will approach their sessions differently.
When working with me, you can generally expect we’ll spend a few minutes connecting and settling in as soon as we join the call. From there you’ll introduce your topic and we’ll clarify your goal for the session. With that outcome in mind, we’ll explore your topic.
As we talk, I may invite you to try different exercises that involve drawing, writing, movement, visualization etc. to help unlock new insights. You can relax into this exploration and get curious – I’ll keep an eye on the time and your outcomes in mind. As we near the end of the session, we’ll summarize what you’ve discovered, how it relates to your goal, and you’ll decide what needs to happen next.
Wait…I have to dance and do “hooey-wooey” stuff?!
I will never make you do anything.
To shift your perspective and open up new avenues of exploration, I may invite you to check in with your body, breathe, move around, dance, draw, write, look at pictures, etc., but any invitation I offer is just that: an invitation. I encourage you to challenge your comfort zone knowing you always have the right to refuse or adapt my invitations to suit you.
What do I need to prepare for my coaching session?
To get the most out of your session you’ll want to have:
An idea of your overall goal and the general topic you wish to discuss during the session
A quiet, comfortable location where you will not be distracted or disturbed
Good WIFI connection
Sufficiently charged device with webcam, speaker and microphone capabilities.
Pen & paper to jot down those “aha” moments
Glass of water
Tissues (if you suspect we’ll touch on emotional topics.)
